Best Amazon Buys 2019
You can get a lot on Amazon. Pretty much anything you want, you can find on Amazon. But let’s face it, you shouldn’t buy EVERYTHING you see. So I’ve narrowed down a list of my favorite Amazon purchases I made in 2019. There were a handful of things that I truly find myself using every day and I don’t know how I lived without them! So here is the list.

Best Amazon Buys for the Home in 2019
HOME
Ok, shopping for home goods on Amazon is by far the easiest. You don’t have to worry so much about size and fit, like you do with clothing. I find a lot of our electronic components (chargers, odd light bulbs, batteries) and our light fixtures have all been great from Amazon! It’s so easy to return something if it isn’t exactly right. I have loved and used everything on the list below. I’d say out of everything, I am most pleased with the quality of the pillows and the light fixtures.
Charger / Headphone Combo
Why did it take me so long to get this? You need this in your life! It has CHANGED me. Of course, if you use Airpods, this might not be useful. But I like to use headphones at my desk and always need to charge my phone, as well.
Charging Pad
Another convenience that I am not sure how we lived without. We have already bought two of these and will probably buy more. You almost need one in every bedroom and living room! Also great for the office.
Black Velvet Hangers
Anyone cleaning out their closet in the new year? I bought these early last year when I cleaned out our closet big time. I love them and have since bought a few more packs. We slowly transitioned all of our hangers from the plastic kind (that are much to slippery) to these velvet hangers that are no slip and really fit more in your closet!
Pillow Inserts
These are just so comfortable. Something that is great to do in the new year is switch out any old pillows.
Herringbone Throw
I use this throw blanket on our bed every day. It helps keep cat hair off of our comforter. It’s lightweight and I would use it in our living room, too.
Bathroom Exhaust / Speaker Combo
I love this thing! We installed it last summer when we gave our master bathroom a makeover. I can hook up my Spotify via bluetooth and listen to music in the shower or while I get ready. I honestly play it while I am folding laundry in our bedroom, too. It works GREAT! Highly recommend.
Black and Bronze Sconces
Also something from our master bathroom makeover. These sconces would be amazing in a living room or above a buffet in a dining room. I happen to love them in our bathroom, flanking the natural wood mirror. They were super easy to install and give off enough light to do my makeup. Love these.
Hunter Black and Wood Ceiling Fan / Light Combo
The pictures don’t do it justice, so take a look at it in our gender neutral nursery here. The fan is a nice neutral wood tone that goes with any decor. It has a few speeds plus the light. We installed two in our house. One in the nursery and one in our guest room (to replace our old “boob light” fans). I really like the look since the fan is a bit more flush to the ceiling. It also comes with a remote so you can choose to control it that way. Great purchase that we love and use every day!
Classic Black Frame with Mat
Just your classic black frame. I have purchased many of these in various sizes and colors from Amazon. But the black with mat is the most classic style. It’s amazing what changing some art or photos out in your home can do to refresh the space!
Black Curtain Rod
This curtain rod is used by almost every home decor blogger I follow! It’s just such a nice, clean line. No fuss and easy to install. We use this rod in the nursery, but I am considering getting another one for the guest room.
Foaming Disposal Cleaners
I use these over and over. The lemony fresh smell after running one of these through the disposal is unbeatable! I hate a stinky disposal and now I never have to deal with it :)
Best Amazon Buys for Fashion in 2019
FASHION
At first I was hesitant to buy clothing on Amazon, so I started small with accessories. But once I tried a dress here and a sweater there, I was hooked! I tend to stick to buying things that are more universal sizing so I don’t have to worry about fit too much (a maxi dress, a chunky sweater). I also have found my favorite pair of sunglasses on Amazon!
Knit Sweater
This is my most worn and asked about fashion item from Amazon. I’ve worn it to work, on fall walks, to happy hour, and to dinner. It comes in a ton of colors. I love it tucked into jeans in the front. A few of my friends have bought this sweater and love it too!
Gold Round Sunglasses
These are my favorite sunglasses. I throw them into the diaper bag or my purse wherever I am going. They look so cute on and easily elevate my mom-wear on the weekends. I wear them constantly!
Black Button Up Tank
I also love this tank top and wore it a ton in the summer. I ended up pairing it with a cardigan on the weekends for the fall (I wouldn’t wear it to work because it is a bit casual). I loved the buttons when I was nursing. But it’s just a cute, classic style.
Printed Maxi
This was my favorite summer purchase. This maxi is easy because the fit doesn’t have to be perfect. I am also shorter (5’2”) and the length was fine on me. I wore this on vacation in Puerto Rico (it was the perfect look), I wore it in Florida, and for my birthday dinner at a Mexican restaurant! It was a great piece for the summer and I will probably wear it again this year on vacation.
Rattan Earrings
Again, these are for summer or vacation. They are such cute statement earrings, I bought some extras for my family because I loved them so much. They feel lightweight in your ears, which is important to me.
Best Amazon Buys for Baby in 2019
BABY
Finally, I’ve rounded up some baby things I bought on Amazon. I will admit, Amazon SAVED me when I was home with newborn Remy. I could order things that I didn’t even realize I needed. Without leaving the couch! Here are my favorite things I purchased, although I bought a lot more than what is here :)
Wooden Play Gym
I used this a TON when the baby was only playing on his back. He loved looking up at the wooden beads. I also liked that it just folded up and I could stick it behind the couch or in a closet. It is very slim. Plus you can set it on any blanket you want.
SPF Baby Sun Blanket
This was a lifesaver in the summer. I hated the idea of dousing the baby in sunscreen just to go for a walk. But inevitably his legs were always sticking out of the stroller. This blanket is 50 UPF and it’s super lightweight so Remy stayed cool. We used it every single day and still bring it to Florida when we go.
Stroller Fan
OH my gosh - the people that stop me asking where i go this fan. Tons of people ask. It is such a great purchase. The fan is rechargeable. It sticks onto your stroller and can move or stay in one place. It has a few different levels of fan power. We used it well into the fall. Another thing we still bring if we are going on a beach vacation or somewhere warmer. Highly recommend.
Matching Jogger Set
I want to buy this in more colors. The navy blue jogger set is super cute on Remy! It’s comfy and is a nice alternative to pajamas. I love it when we have a travel day or lots of errands to run.
Burts Bees Pajamas
Or really any Burts Bees clothes. I have trouble finding styles and sizes that I need at Target. So buying my Burts Bees clothes for Remy on Amazon just makes it easier. They are all so soft and the cutest prints. They fit true to size and I will keep buying them well into his toddler years!
Bebe Au Lait Swaddle Blanket
The softest swaddle you will ever own. Ever. I am saving this for our next baby, since Remy doesn’t really use swaddles anymore. This is a nice lightweight stroller blanket, too. I also love the cactus print that is almost water color. A great purchase and an even better baby gift :)
Parker Baby Bandannas
Last but not least, I have bought these bandannas in many, many colors. They are the best! Remy was drooling a ton when he was teething and we wore one with every outfit. I highly recommend this brand because they don’t roll up in the front or the back. They are sturdy but comfortable. Great purchase!
