I love to plan and organize! From planning a vacation, to hosting events, to a bathroom DIY project and now organizing my life with a baby - I love it all! I live in Chicago with my husband (Bobby - we’ve been together for 16 years) and our sons Remy (2) and Shay (5 months). We’re both Cleveland natives, but we spent 5 years in California before settling down in Chicago - Lincoln Park, to be exact. I work full-time (Monday - Thursday) and spend Fridays and weekends blogging and hanging out with my family in the city.
I spent a LOT of the last few years traveling the world - South Africa, Greece, and Ireland top the list. I’m also having a blast decorating and DIYing our first home - from the flooring to the light bulbs, I’ve changed it all :) Somewhere along the way we started hosting lots of parties, holidays, and dinners. Then the small events turned into bigger ones (hello, bridal showers and weddings) and I started to help a few of my friends plan their weddings! Once we added kids into the picture, I realized how much work it is to navigate mom-life, from pregnancy to feeding - so I started writing about it all. And that’s how the blog came to be!
I came up with the idea to call my site Blueprint after realizing we all want the same things. We want our house perfectly styled, we want to be the host with the most, we want to balance mom-life and work-life, and we want to organize our lives once and for all! But doing it all takes a lot of work...why do we have to recreate the wheel so often when someone else has already done the same things? So I decided to create a space where I can manage all of my tips and tricks for keeping life running smoothly - and share it all with you!
After all, life is eventful - we could all use a blueprint.
