Amazon Buys: August
What I bought and loved from Amazon this month. Lot’s of great stuff for the house in August, including my new coffee maker and some grill accessories! Check it out and happy shopping :)
Ninja Specialty Coffee Maker
After the huge coffee machine debate, I decided on the Ninja Specialty Coffee Maker (CM407). It makes hot drinks, cold drinks, iced drinks, and specialty drinks like lattes and cappuccinos using the built in frother! So far, I am loving it. I make 2 iced coffees a day and my husband makes his iced tea every day (saving us some serious cash!).
Milk Frothing Pitcher
I bought this for the new coffee machine and I am pumped to use it! Admittedly, I haven’t used the frother feature YET but I promise I will soon…I see lot’s of fall lattes in my future :)
Curtain Rod 1”
This is my stand-by curtain rod. I’ve used it in Remy’s nursery and our guest room at the old house. And now I ordered 3 more for our new place! We are hanging curtains in the front windows (there are 3 windows) and also adding curtains to the large back window. I was able to find the same curtain rod in a longer size on Amazon to fit that window, too. If you’re looking for a great looking, basic curtain rod - this is it!
IKEA Ritva Curtains
Guys. These are the BEST curtains. Yes, they’re from IKEA. The curtains are the perfect length (they do come in a few width options). The color is spot on - it’s not stark white, but has a little warmth to it, almost like a perfect linen color. The material is linen so you only need to steam them once and then the curtains lay perfectly. They just brush the floor of our condo and I love them! Again, these are curtains I’ve had and then bought again.
NOTE: They are definitely cheaper when you order on IKEA. But they were out of stock when I needed them and weren’t even taking back orders. So I had to resort to Amazon. In a pinch, I was willing to pay a little bit more. And reminder: they come in a few different sizes, so make sure you measure your own windows before ordering.
Commercial Kitchen Faucet with Sprayer
Ok, new home owner problems over here! Our kitchen faucet sprayer broke a few days after we moved in. We were making it work until the entire spraying head broke completely off the other day. Needless to say, we had to order a new faucet stat. I landed on this commercial sprayer, with the exposed coil. I love the look of it. It arrives tomorrow and I can wait to get it hooked up!
Grill Brush (Bristle Free)
Did I mention we have a grill now?! We are loving cooking out every weekend, but definitely needed to stock up on a few grilling essentials. One thing Bobby noticed was that grill brushes with bristles are a huge no-no these days. The pieces of metal (or silicone or whatever material the bristles are) can easily get stuck in your food. So we went for a bristle-free brush and this one was highly rated.
Re-Play Straw Cups
You know I love these Re-Play cups for Remy. He has some of the sippy cups and bowls. But he has been eyeing my Starbucks straw cup, so I figured I’d get him his own straw cup. Love the neutral colors. Word of warning to moms with young toddlers: these are not spill proof. Remy has taken the straw out multiple times and just dumped the water onto the floor. Good times!
And that’s it! Hope you find something you love off of this list.
