Sick Day Kit

When baby gets sick, there really isn’t anything you won’t do to make them feel better. And with our little one in daycare, he’s had a number of sick days already. So I feel somewhat qualified to make this list of tried and true things we use, over and over, when the baby is sick. Whether it’s the sniffles or a fever, this is what has helped us through, along with the occasional doctor visit. So stock up on these items for the next sick day.

Side note, I realize this may as well be sponsored by Fridababy, but they just make some really great, reasonably priced products!

NOSEFRIDA SNOT SUCKER

Yes, it’s really called that. And yes, it really works. It looks gross, but it works wonders!

BOOGIE WIPES

These boogie wipes are one of our favorite things! I originally thought they were just normal wipes packaged to be for colds. But there is natural saline in the wipes so that each time you use one, it helps loosen up all of the gunk going on in the baby’s nose. They really work and I keep a pack in the diaper bag now.

MEDIFRIDA ACCUDOSE PACIFIER

This little contraption is helpful to have around when you have to give medicine to a squirmy little one. The end of the tube is a pacifier, so the baby is none the wiser.

NOSEFRIDA SALINE SNOT SPRAY

When the Boogie Wipes just aren’t enough, there is this saline spray. It’s a little more accurate and straight to the point.

NASAL BULB

I love the NoseFrida, but I really love this basic nasal bulb, too. It just works. The baby definitely doesn’t love it, but he’s getting used to it. When there is built up snot that just can’t be wiped away, I love using this.

HUMIDIFIER

We leave the humidifier in the nursery and use it whenever there is a cough or stuffy nose happening…which tends to be about once a week, these days!

VAPOR BATH BOMBS

Since you’re doing bath time anyway, might as well throw in one of these bath bombs on a sick day. They smell great and don’t leave residue all over the tub.
